Technology is changing so rapidly that it is mind boggling. Things that used to appear only in the movies are now happening in real life. Truly, if you think it, you can make it happen. This demonstration of touch screeen technology in 3D is nothing short of mind boggling. Technology waits for no one and is being integrated into every aspect of our lives whether we like it or not. We don’t need to know how to use the latest and greatest new technology but we certainly need to know what is out there and adjust our current and future state expectaions accordingly. Take a look. http://youtube.com/watch?v=FLVLy98F6LA&feature=related

Over 68 years ago educators were grappling with the same issues we are working on today. How to engage students in learning, make learning relevant, how to work collaboratively and be open to change. I’m sure that the video below was out on the edge for it’s time. You can easily substitute some of the issues we are grappling with today. The difference is the world is changing far more quickly due to the technologies available to us. We will need to harness those technologies to create the schools of the future. Our students are ready and we must rise to the challenge. We must not be afraid of change or new ideas, they are our future.
